Baodafor New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., headquartered in Xiamen's Haicang District, has been deepening its lean production management practices at its production base in recent years. By optimizing production scheduling, improving workshop logistics flow, and introducing digital kanban systems, the company has significantly enhanced overall delivery efficiency.
During a recent visit to the workshop, electronic screens beside each production line were seen displaying real-time data including daily output, yield rate, and order progress. According to the production manager, the base has conducted systematic process reviews across its main product lines—including cling wrap, ziplock bags, and aluminum foil—resulting in approximately 15% reduction in ineffective handling distance and over 20% average reduction in changeover time.
"Our goal is not simply pursuing higher capacity numbers, but making every production rhythm smoother and making the entire process from order receipt to shipment more predictable for our customers," the manager stated. Lean improvement is an ongoing effort, with the team conducting weekly case-sharing sessions to transform frontline employees' reasonable suggestions into concrete improvement measures.
Regarding quality control, the base has strengthened its dual mechanism of incoming material inspection and in-process inspection tours, ensuring that food-grade packaging materials are produced in a clean environment. The workshop implements fixed-position management, with raw materials and finished products stored by area, effectively reducing the risk of cross-contamination.
Currently, the Xiamen base's on-time delivery rate has steadily remained above 98%, while product quality complaint rates continue to decline. Baodafor stated it will continue adhering to its production philosophy of pursuing excellence, providing more reliable food packaging solutions for restaurants, food processors, and household consumers.
