Baodafor New Materials has officially launched a 6S management improvement project at its Xiamen production facility, aiming to elevate workshop standards from six dimensions: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety.
Prior to the project launch, the production team conducted a systematic review of material storage and equipment layout, reorganizing frequently used consumables and raw materials into designated zones while optimizing operation flow paths. After one month of pilot implementation, the workshop supervisor noted a reduction of approximately 15% in material retrieval time and significantly improved tool location efficiency.
In addition, the workshop introduced a daily cleaning inspection checklist, assigning specific cleaning responsibilities to each shift and ensuring production equipment surfaces remain free of residual materials with dry and tidy floors. Regarding workplace safety, Baodafor installed protective signage near key equipment and conducts regular safety training to enhance safety awareness among all staff.
The 6S initiative not only improves the workshop environment but also establishes a foundation for future automation equipment integration. Baodafor's operations manager stated that continuous improvement is at the core of enterprise competitiveness, and the company will continue optimizing production processes to deliver more stable, high-quality food-grade packaging products to customers worldwide.
