Baodafor continues to deepen its lean production system, recently launching a standardized upgrade initiative in warehouse management to further enhance storage operational efficiency and material turnover speed.
The warehouse standardization upgrade program centers on the 6S management framework—Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety. The team has conducted a comprehensive review and optimization of existing storage areas. Key measures include: replanning shelf layout to enable centralized storage of materials by specification, material type, and purpose; introducing a location coding system to ensure each batch of materials has clear storage positions and traceability information; and establishing standardized inbound and outbound procedures to reduce manual operation errors and improve inventory accuracy.
According to the project lead, standardized warehouse management is a critical foundation for lean production. Through this upgrade, warehouse space utilization is projected to increase by more than 15%, while material picking efficiency will also improve significantly. This will help reduce inventory accumulation risks and provide customers with faster order fulfillment services.
The Baodafor warehouse team noted that standardization is an ongoing improvement process. Next steps include further enhancing the warehouse management information system, promoting real-time data synchronization, and strengthening full-chain management from raw material storage to finished product outbound.
