As one of the most commonly used food preservation products in households and commercial kitchens, the cling wrap core design directly affects user experience. Baodafor New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. has recently carried out systematic optimization design on cling wrap cores, improving product practicality while also enhancing production efficiency, achieving a win-win situation.
Traditional cling wrap cores usually adopt single-material paper or plastic tubes, which suffer from insufficient hardness and easy deformation. Through extensive user research, Baodafor's R&D team discovered that one of the most troubling problems for consumers when using cling wrap is slipping or stalling during core rotation, which seriously affects the smoothness of film retrieval.
To address this pain point, Baodafor's R&D team developed a new composite core structure. The inner core adopts high-strength recycled paper tube, while the outer wall is wrapped with a thin PE plastic film, forming a structure that combines rigidity and toughness. This design ensures dimensional stability of the core in high-temperature and humid environments while providing moderate friction, allowing the cling wrap to rotate smoothly during stretching.
In terms of production process, Baodafor upgraded the core assembly line with automatic alignment systems and pressure control systems. The new equipment can precisely control the fitting accuracy between the core and cling wrap roll, ensuring consistent handling feel for every product. Meanwhile, the introduction of automated equipment has greatly reduced manual operation, improving production efficiency by approximately 25%.
"We hope that through detail optimization, every user can enjoy a smooth usage experience," said Baodafor's Product R&D Director. "Although the core is small, it's an important interface connecting the product with users. A good core design makes cling wrap easier to use and reduces frustration for homemakers in busy kitchen work."
In addition to functional improvements, Baodafor also focuses on the product's environmental attributes. The new core preferentially adopts recycled paper materials, reducing the use of virgin pulp, which aligns with the company's consistent commitment to sustainable development. Currently, this optimized cling wrap product has been fully launched, with positive consumer feedback.
